people,
for those of you who will be in the denton area
this weekend the cut*off will be performing an acoustic
show at muthers on friday, december 10th....come
out and see dark karl and jayson jamilton performing
your favorite songs by the cut*off and spandau ballet....we're
hoping for a big crowd.....it should prove to be
the coolest thing since the nude scene in "just
one of the guys"....kyle needs money to put
dinner on the table for himself and his ladybugs....the
squid has agreed to french kiss every fan who shows
up to the show, male or female.....careful though,
he hasn't gotten the results back for the strange
sores on his lips....the show will start around
10:30 and there will be drink specials all night....we'll
have a wonderful time....interceptaverde......yea....

we know,
we will be playing tommorrow night ( the 24th )
at the aardvark in fort worth....it will be an evening
full of festivities....the show is brought to you
by the wonderful people at www.texasradio1.com ....they
will be broadcasting live from 7-10pm, interviewing
the bands, then we will play around 11pm....not
sure what bands are playing but we do know bowling
for soup will be doing an acoustic show....if you're
going to be in the dallas area for the holidays
then swing by the liquid lounge to see kyle play
a few tunes at 9:30pm before he heads over to the
aardvark....he's playing some nirvana covers for
the 102.1 the edge's nirvana box set release
party....either way, try to make one of the shows....the
squid has agreed to bite the head off a turkey on
stage at the aardvark if over 60 people show up....hopefully
he'll have too much to drink and vomit at his family
gathering the next day....perhaps you could do the
same?.....bbbaaagggg.....mustard cheetos.....

Join the cut*off tonight, Saturday Oct. 30th at
the Black Dog Tavern in Fort Worth to celebrate
Halloween and 88.7 KTCU the Good Show's 4th Anniversary.
the cut*off will start promptly at 11 p.m. but come
early the zombie dunking booth and stay late for
the mummies return. This is a benefit concert to
raise money for the Therapy House, so bring your
big hearts and do your good deed for the year while
enjoying great local music.
Most creative costume gets last slow dance with
the squid. Also, the squid has challenged everyone
to a pumpkin pie eating contest. Beware the squid
has been know to devour a bearclaw in one bite.

since intramural sports with jerry sessions....we
will be playing around 11pm on the rooftop of cool
beans in denton....we're the only band playing so
that means a long set full of requests....whoever
spends the most money at the bar will win a date
with jayson hamilton....he will treat you to a candle
light dinner at bennigans followed by a movie and
slumber party at his house (don't forget your sleeping
bag)....mrs. hamilton will be there to monitor,
serve cookies, and provide schedule changes....you'll

new bottle of old spice....speaking of competitions
with the squid, he has challenged any takers to
a rooftop dance-off at the show...he will pay $100

all,
don't forget that your favorite band the cut*off
is playing this friday, october 8th, at andy's bar
in denton (www.andyslivemusic.com ).....we'll be
playing with our friends rezonwood and a tyler band
called my plastic friends....it's also the birthday
of steve sones and christina hutchison (formerly
wells)...we go on last (around midnight) but the
show starts at 10....whoever brings the most people
gets to hit the squid in the jugular with a pool
stick....he has already agreed to this....speaking
of injuries, jake just found out he is going to
have surgery on his injured perineal so be sure
to bring him some flowers (he's a sucker for white

guys,
just like alf, the cut*off is back in pog form.....dark
karl's wrist is healed and he's ready to shred the
axe (sadly he was stripped of his tae kwon do silver
medal after testing positive for illegal substances)....we
will be playing at trees in dallas this saturday,
september 25th....we go on at 9:30pm so you'll be
home in time to watch everwood (treat williams used
to be harsh)....the squid has agreed to shatter
every empty beer bottle on his head so show
up early and let's seriously injure him....we have

friend,
bad news out of cut*off land....kyle recently broke
his wrist trying to break cement blocks in a tae
kwon do tournament and is in a cast....he was attempting
to break the record previously held by area tae
kwon do legend michael "bloodstain" hutchison....dark
karl is now slightly disabled karl for the next
month or so....we've had to cancel some stuff, but
we'll be coming back at you like a tornado of teeth
and fingernails at the end of september....we're
playing the dallas music festival around that time
so you should receive an update....also, the squid
has decided that kyle shouldn't suffer alone, so
he's agreed to get punched in the kidney once a
day until kyle's cast is removed....that means if
you see the squid on the street, at the mall, or
anywhere else, be sure to sneak up from behind him
and give him a right hook for kyle....we'll have
him peeing blood in no time....so remember to keep
the laces out and you'll hear from us soon....go

it's your friends the cut*off again....we just wanted
to give you all some updates on what's been going
on....we have recently added a live recording of
"adults we know" to the music page of
our website (www.thecutoff.com) ....be sure to check
it out if you like chinese stars....we have an album
review in the dallas music guide....you can check
it out at www.dallasmusicguide.com ....it features
some strikes and gutters, ups and downs, but it
seems honest....we are going to begin recording
our new EP at the end of the month so we still don't
have much booked....our next show is in late september,
but we'll try to add something....we're still working
on putting together the cut*off carwash fundraiser
to help support our new EP....the squid has volunteered
to wash cars in the beefers parking lot wearing
only a speedo and hiking boots....seriously, he's
already waxed his chest....anyway, hold on to your
colostomy bag, we'll be performing before you know

long time no see....have no fear, however, because
the cut*off will be performing an acoustic show
this friday, the 23rd, at muther's in denton....you
will get to see dark karl and slamilton performing
your favorite cut*off tunes as well as many covers....dark
karl has been working on his steve perry voice as
he intends to do many journey covers....since it
is an acoustic show ziplock bags of ice are optional....we
start around 10:30 and it's only a dollar cover
so bring your friends and pet gerbils....the
squid has agreed to eat one cigarette for every
newcomer at the show so lets do our best to get

my friend,
the cut*off is inviting you to start your weekend
on Thursday, May 27th at the Curtain Club in Deep
Ellum. We will be headlining so bring your friends
and have them bring their friends and so on. Also,
the cut*off will be playing May 28th at Lone Star
in Coppell with Rezonwood and American Idle. the
cut*off will be playing 2nd but, get there early
to see Clay Aiken sing the blues and stay late to
see Rezonwood do the robot for their cd release.
Updates have been made to our website so check it
out and see if you have a picture on our site. If
you don't, search for Socks (our photographer) at
theses next shows and bug him to take a picture
of you. This will be the perfect ending to a tough
week for Chad. Chad had a final this week in his
Sex Education class and has been really stressed
out. Chad has agreed to this:
the 1st fan to bring him a bag of salt and vinegar
potato chips will get to stand next to him during
the song of their
choice. Sounds fun, Chad loves his fans!

we will be making our triumphant return to denton
this friday at andy's bar (www.andyslivemusic.com)
...we wil be playing in a pretty stacked line-up
that includes strapped, the greatness that is jeff
savage, and rezonwood....it should prove to be the
coolest thing since johnny utah....we're the last
band so we'll go on around midnight, but you really
should come check out all the bands and take advantage
of the drink specials....the tension is still building
between kyle and jayson...sources tell me jayson
has been practicing his vocals in the bathroom at
his workplace....the squid is pretty beaten up,
but he's still standing....let's try to finish him

the cut*off will be performing back to back nights
this week....we will play thursday, march 11th at
trees in deep ellum....not sure what time yet, so
we'll get back to you....then on friday, we will
play at ridglea theater in fort worth with our friends,
veach....we go on around 9:30.....kyle will actually
be playing guitar with veach, so if you're a fan
of benedict arnold, then watch kyle twice on friday....the
squid is so excited about the back to back shows,
that he's not even going home in between shows....he's
going to sleep in the back of kyle's cherokee in
a sleeping bag and drink steel reserves for 36 straight

just letting you all know the cut*off will be playing
on monday, march 1st at the wreck room in fort worth....we
will go on around 10:30 and will be followed by
a philidelphia band called pilot round the sun....they
are on their way down to austin for south by southwest
but wanted to do at least one performance in the
town of the cow....we realize it's a monday night
so lets all buy the squid shots of vodka instead
of gin (he has school the next day)....don't forget
to vote for kyle on american idol tonight, he's
really banking on this....also, check out the website

playing with our good friends of rezonwood and post

all played together, things got out of control....the

second....before we go on, the squid will be fist
fighting o'dell pack on stage....we will be taking
bets ( o'dell is a 2 to 1 favorite)....also, the

be playing an acoustic show on monday, feb. 2nd
at muthers bar in denton....they will be performing some
of your favorite cut*off tunes and possibly a few
covers....beers are only 25 cents and it's chad's
birthday so there are all kinds of reasons to come
out....the show starts around 10:15 and, since there
are no electric guitars or drums, ziploc bags are
optional....also, a heads up on our next show.....we
will be playing on feb. 7th at andy's bar in denton
with our friends post oak and rezonwood....more

hey
guys,
lots to cover....first off, we're sorry we haven't
played in so long...there was some trouble in cut
off land....jayson came to practice one day demanding
that he become the new lead singer...kyle objected
and began to argue, so jayson hit kyle in the face
with a guitar pedal....2 days later jayson apologized
and gave kyle a dozen roses and a journey t-shirt....kyle
then stepped up like a team captain and said "from
now on, we're friends forever, always we'll be there...just
like the zack attack! "....so with that out
of the way our reunion tour 2004 begins on january
17th at club clearview in deep ellum at 9:15....it's
been a while, so here are a few easy steps to follow...
1. make up an excuse for your parents so you can be
out after 10pm.
2. take a shower and part your hair
3. tuck in your undershirt
4. bring a ziplock bag
5. get to club clearview at 9pm
6. buy the squid a shot of gin
7. sit back and watch as a rock show ensues
