The cut*off began in December 2001 with Kyle Barnhill, Chad Sones, and Jake Webster. However, the cut*off knew the importance of a rhythm guitarist and soon began auditioning musicians. By January of 2002, Jayson Hamilton was officially a member of the cut*off. The band, all belonging to the North Texas area, began creating music with solid lyrics and powerful backing sounds. In their time together, the cut*off has made strides to become one of North Texas premier bands.
